The Artist

I began my artist journey at age 8 drawing pictures from magazines and those cute little contests "Draw & Win" cartoon pictures. During my high school years, a friend and myself would draw during study hall crazy creatures in the corner of our books, then flip the pages and make them walk in motion on the pages. Everything about art, color, textures, symbols, technique excited me and I knew that art would be a part of my life.

In my early 20's a friend introduced me to oils where I fell in love with the ability to create landscapes and beautiful sceneries. Later in my 30's I began in acrylics by painting scenes and vibrant colors on old furniture and sheet metal for clients.

My love of watercolor & mixed media came into my life during a critical time in my life where I found the love art all over again. It's amazing after you turn 50! When you look at life and it means a whole lot more than it did before.

Through the years I have ventured into other art mediums such as acrylics, watercolor, ink & watercolor, mixed-media and photography.
From children watercolor portraits, senior photos, engagement photo shoots, to classic car photos, beloved companion pet watercolor portraits to a whimsical creatures of art on canvas, It is just too hard to choose one medium that is my prime.

But it all begins with the photo.

I love taking the photo shoots and creating from my photos a watercolor portrait of children or companion pets.

My Inspiration

As a photographer my passion has seem to always been a part of my life from a young age in which I extremely enjoy as of this day.

I often discount or donate my photography sessions to those less fortunate such as animal rescues & Senior animal companion pets as these are my favorite photoshoots. And I believe in giving back. When you have been gifted a talent you use it to do good with.

My artist inspiration comes from the soul of the model I am using to create the art. . The eyes are the entrance into heart of the soul. Get that little sparkle, that personality in my subject and art just flows through the rest of picture.
